Nathaniel was described as being a little shy, introverted.  But give that boy a dandelion and he absolutely blossomed. Every ounce of this evening was wrapped up in good vibes, laughter and happy memories.  To top it off, it was he and his mama’s birthday. The perfect day.

So what’s it like having two photographers at your family session? Perhaps first you should know a little bit about the gals of Burns & Crowe. Kara Crowe is a good conversationalist.  She’s got a knack for giving direction and keeping the overall momentum of the session going. She’s soft spoken and sweet and is genuinely interested in the lives of our clients. She has a real desire to make every session a fantastic experience from start to finish.  A little side note, Kara is an excellent cook, something Doria, unfortunately, is not. Doria Burns is business minded, task oriented, and actively strives to stay current both artistically as well as in the marketing realm. Her passion lies in family portraiture and appreciates the challenge of helping young children feel comfortable at a session. She easily picks up on people’s energy and can navigate a session around that energy.

Having two photographers at your session helps in multiple aspects. Creative juices stay flowing for one.  So when Doria has a moment and goes completely blank, Kara can pick up the pace and vice versa. If mom and dad need a shot of themselves, Kara can do her couples wizardry while Doria entertains the littles with her ridiculous animal sounds. There is a certain magic that happens in those in between moments.  And what about the pictures? Pretty much no stone will be left unturned. You will leave your session confident that every angle was captured and will later be sifted through, processed, and delivered in a timely, professional manner.

Together, Burns & Crowe wants to tell a story.
