What can you expect at your maternity session you ask?

Well let’s get things started right by turning up the speaker and playing our favorite spotify list.  No really!  Your session includes music, and you may even see us do a funny jig to get you laughing!

Typically everyone is super uptight those first few minutes in the session so we like to help out by putting you in a very specific ‘pose’.  “Put your arm there” ,“Put that hand over here”, “Put all your weight on you left leg”, etc.  Don’t worry about not knowing what to do, we will literally tell you EVERYTHING to do….. Initially.

So once everyone is loosened up the fun can start!  Believe it or not, we’re kind of funny.  All our best tricks will come out helping couples, kids and families to interact and connect with each other.  This is our favorite part of all session. That moment when everyone is just being themselves, enabling us to deliver organic, timeless images. 

Provided you purchase our one hour package, we like to move around a bit to give your gallery some diversity.  Quite literally we will ‘chase light’.  So regardless of what the background looks like, if the light is perfect then we’re going to shoot there!  It’s the light that makes the overall image stand out, not the background.  

The metal silos, train tracks, oh yeah and the AIRPLANES were such a breath of fresh air as we meandered around Andrews, NC during golden hour.  Anything different or unusual is right up our alley and we are itching to do something fun and new with you!  Check out Meredith and Josh and their fun maternity session just weeks before they welcome their baby girl Kate.
