Kids// Taking the Reigns
We love photographing families! Each family session is unique and unscripted, giving us freedom to remain open minded and certainly allows the creative juices to consistently flow. Here's the thing, kids do what they want to do…..And we let them! How else do you think we make friends with your kids? ;) No but really though, kids will be kids, and how refreshing it is for us to pull up to a family session and know that whatever we think we have planned is probably not going to happen at all. In fact, it will probably be much better. Kids have this natural way of taking the reigns and leading the session without even knowing it. The Armistead family session is a perfect example. Things were going great, and then BAM! We had a hangry one year old. So, what do we do? FEED THAT BABY! What did we get in return? Perfect pictures. Moms, dads, your babies are perfect in every mood they have. Despite what gets thrown at us at a session, we strive to go with the grain instead of against it and capture some effortless, authentic pieces of art. What are you waiting for?
